Basant Utsav 2026 Celebrated with Grandeur at S.R. Shiksha Samrat School, Simrahi Nagar Panchayat

The annual festival “Basant Utsav 2026” of S.R. Shiksha Samrat School, located in Simrahi Nagar Panchayat, was celebrated with great enthusiasm and festive spirit. The programme commenced with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp by School Chairman Mahadev Mehta, Managing Director Alpana Mehta, Academic Director Raja Ravi, and Administrative Director-cum-Principal Kislay Ravi, along with the teaching faculty.

During the event, students presented a vibrant array of cultural performances reflecting India’s rich diversity, folk traditions, valour of soldiers, glorious heritage, and mythological history. Through their expressive acting, graceful movements, and confident stage presence, the children captivated the audience and earned thunderous applause.

Performances of Mithila’s renowned folk dances Jhinjhiya and Sama-Chakeva received special appreciation. A Bihar-centric presentation beautifully showcased the state’s glorious past and rich traditions. The enactments of Ravan Vadh and Shiv Tandav enthralled the audience with their energy and dramatic impact. Students also presented several forms of Indian folk and classical dances with remarkable finesse.

The portrayal of soldiers’ bravery and sacrifice, along with a powerful mime act dedicated to Operation Sindoor, infused the audience with a strong sense of patriotism. Additionally, students creatively highlighted the harmful effects of fast food and emphasized the importance of nutritious and healthy diets through engaging performances.

Addressing the gathering, Chairman Mahadev Mehta and Managing Director Alpana Mehta congratulated the students and said that children are the future of the nation and will guide society and the country towards a better tomorrow. Academic Director Raja Ravi expressed gratitude to parents who have been part of the institution’s 25-year journey. Administrative Director-cum-Principal Kislay Ravi apprised parents of the school’s facilities and future plans, and thanked all contributors for the successful organization of the event.

A large number of parents and local dignitaries were present on the occasion. The success of the programme was made possible through the commendable efforts of Ranjit Lama, Krishna Gupta, Arjun Kumar, Ramesh Mukhia, Anand Mohan, Pappu Mehta, Suman Jha, Shankar Yadav, and others.
