Sports Competition Organized by Ras-Rang on International Women’s Day, 150 Children Participate Enthusiastically

Patna, March 8:
On the occasion of International Women’s Day, a sports competition was organized by the social organization Ras-Rang, Patna on Sunday morning at Manikchand Talab. The event began at 8:00 AM and was conducted under the leadership of the organization’s president Shiv Chandra Prasad Gupta, with around 150 children participating enthusiastically.

The competition was inaugurated jointly by social worker Pyarelal, the organization’s patron Thakur Ram Ashish Prasad, and secretary Raj Kapoor. Speaking on the occasion, President Shiv Chandra Prasad Gupta highlighted the growing concern of excessive mobile phone usage among children. He stated that children today are so absorbed in mobile devices that they often fail to see the world beyond screens, which is becoming a serious issue. He added that the main objective of the event was to encourage children to develop an interest in sports and physical activities, as today’s children are the future of the nation.

Social worker Pyarelal emphasized that if the government ensures the construction of playgrounds within every kilometer, it would significantly contribute to nation-building. Patron Ram Ashish Prasad also shared his views, stating that the development of parks and gardens in every locality would play a crucial role in shaping children’s future. Such spaces allow people of all age groups to exercise, interact, and maintain better mental health.

Secretary Raj Kapoor mentioned that the organization has been working for the overall development of children for the past ten years and will continue to organize such initiatives in the future. Treasurer Sahil Singh stated that the organization will continue making every possible effort for the welfare of society. Media in-charge Kadar Khan also played an active role in encouraging the children and assisting during the prize distribution ceremony.

At the end of the event, winners of various competitions were awarded prizes.
In the running race, Karan Kumar secured first place, Shubham Kumar second, and Shahbaz Alam third.
In the high jump, Rajvardhan secured first place, Karan Raj second, and Piyush Kumar third.
In the spoon race, Ayesha Singh finished first, Vineet Verma second, and Misty Kumari third.
In the balloon game, Ayush Kumar secured first place, Arya Singh second, and Ayesha Singh third.
In the frog jump, Lucky Kumar secured first place, Venika Verma second, and Veer third.

The successful organization of the event was made possible with the support of members Dr. Shailesh Kumar, Nagendra Kumar, Suraj Kumar, Aman Kumar, Saurabh Kumar, Ayush Kumar, Shubham, Harshit, and women members Pinky Devi, Soni Kumari, Gunja Devi, Miki Kumari, and Alka Asthana, among others.
