Theatre Workshop by Rangam Boosts Creativity and Confidence Among School Children

Patna: In a commendable initiative towards holistic education, theatre group Rangam successfully organized a one-day cultural workshop on theatre at Middle School, Ranipur (Patna). The workshop was conducted under the leadership of theatre director Santosh Kumar (Raas Raj).

The primary objective of the workshop was to introduce children to the fundamentals of theatre while nurturing their personality, creative thinking, and mental development. During the session, students were guided on how a simple story transforms into a theatrical performance and how it is effectively presented on stage.

Key aspects such as basic acting techniques, expression, dialogue delivery, body language, and stage discipline were discussed in detail. To enhance concentration, observation skills, imagination, teamwork, and self-confidence, various engaging theatre games and practical activities were conducted. The students actively participated and showcased their enthusiasm and talent.

The workshop also emphasized important life skills such as discipline, cooperation, time management, and the value of collective effort.

School Principal Mr. Sanjay Kumar, along with teachers, was present during the session. Appreciating the initiative, he stated that theatre is not merely a medium of entertainment but a powerful tool for the mental, social, and emotional development of children. It helps in building confidence, improving communication skills, expanding imagination, and fostering positive thinking.

At the end of the workshop, students shared their experiences, describing the session as highly engaging, informative, and inspiring. Rangam expressed its commitment to organizing more such educational and cultural workshops in schools in the future.
