80th Independence Day Celebrated with Grandeur at S.R. Shiksha Samrat School
Simrahi: The 80th Independence Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm and patriotic fervour at S.R. Shiksha Samrat School, located in Nagar Panchayat Simrahi. The programme commenced with the hoisting of the national flag by the school’s Chairman, Shri Mahadev Mehta.
Addressing the gathering, Shri Mehta extended his Independence Day greetings and reminded everyone of their responsibilities towards the nation. He said that India’s independence was achieved through the sacrifices of countless freedom fighters. He urged everyone to make every possible effort to uphold the dignity, unity and integrity of the nation.
The school’s Director, Alpana Mehta, highlighted the significant contribution of women in India’s progress over the eight decades since independence. She said that Indian women and daughters are excelling in every field and bringing immense pride to the country.
A grand parade was then organised under the leadership of the school heads, club presidents and house captains. Members of the school cabinet and students marched smartly to the beats of the school band, captivating the audience. The parade was directed by Ranjit Lama.
Students delivered patriotic speeches and recited poems highlighting their dedication towards the nation, the strength and potential of youth, their role in the country’s development, and the contribution of great personalities to nation-building.
Academic Director Raja Ravi said that India has made remarkable progress over the past eight decades. He emphasised the need to embrace the country’s diversity while strengthening national unity.
Administrative Director-cum-Principal Kislay Ravi said that today’s students are the citizens of tomorrow and that the school family is committed to ensuring their holistic development. He expressed his gratitude to the guests, students and teachers for their presence and active participation in making the programme a success.
The event was successfully organised with the significant contribution of Manisha Jha, Gaurav Kumar, Krishna Gupta, Shankar Mehta, Sudhanshu Verma, Adarsh Lama, Ramesh Mukhiya and all members of the school staff.
The school campus was filled with patriotic spirit and enthusiasm throughout the celebration.
