Future Leaders Shaped at Xavier’s: Hindu Group VP Inspires Students on Career and Leadership

St. Xavier’s College of Management & Technology, Patna, turned into a hub of ideas and inspiration on Saturday as students engaged in a thought-provoking session on leadership and career growth with Mr. Sridhar Arnala, Vice-President and S&D Head of The Hindu Group.
Addressing the theme “Leadership and Career Growth: Managing People, Pressure and Deadlines,” Mr. Arnala delivered candid insights drawn from his own professional journey, urging young aspirants to embrace resilience, adaptability, and the art of managing people under pressure. “A true leader,” he told students, “is first a good human being. Leadership is not about titles but about responsibility and the ability to empower others.”
The event was attended by Rector Fr. Joseph Sebastian SJ, Principal Fr. Dr. Martin Poras SJ, Vice-Principal Fr. Dr. Sherry George SJ, along with faculty and students. Mr. Arnala was joined by Mr. Rony Gupta, General Manager, The Hindu Group, and Mr. Kumar Nitin.
Moderated by Mrs. Priya Manish Kumar, Assistant Professor of Mass Communication, the session became a lively exchange, as students raised practical questions about workplace conflicts, team management, deadlines, and high-pressure scenarios. Mr. Arnala’s advice, rooted in real-world challenges, resonated strongly with the young audience.
