Career Kickstart at Xavier’s: Placement Cell Flags Off Academic Year with Power-Packed Orientation
Focus on placements, higher education, and personal mentoring for 2025–26 batch

St. Xavier’s College of Management and Technology, Patna, marked the commencement of its academic session 2025–2026 with a high-impact orientation program titled Career Launchpad, organized by the institution’s Placement Cell. The session aimed to lay a strong foundation for students aspiring for campus placements as well as higher education.
Addressing the gathering, Mr. Piyush Ranjan Sahay, Head of the Placement Cell, emphasized the importance of proactive planning in today’s competitive job market. “Early preparation, focused efforts, and smart decision-making are key to unlocking better opportunities,” he told students, urging them to take full advantage of the upcoming career counseling sessions.
The orientation offered students a comprehensive view of the Placement Cell’s roadmap for the year. From resume-building strategies to understanding real-world industry expectations, the session was bolstered by valuable inputs from college alumni. A highlight of the event was the presentation of the Placement Report 2024, which showcased major milestones and recruiter partnerships.
Students were also informed about the success of last year’s CPBFI–Bajaj Finserv 120-hour certification initiative, conducted in hybrid mode, which significantly boosted placement readiness for participants.
Beyond just job preparation, the college turned the spotlight on higher education pathways as well. The Bishop 3.0 session, an introspective module focusing on self-awareness and goal-setting, encouraged students to think long-term about their personal and professional trajectories.
To streamline support, students were provided with a QR code link to choose between the placement or higher education tracks. This data will help the college tailor individual mentoring plans and provide targeted resources.
The Career Launchpad initiative has not only energized the student body but also set a tone of clarity, commitment, and ambition for the year ahead. With personalized mentoring and structured preparation, Xavier’s aims to turn aspirations into accomplishments.
