A Celebration of Innovation and Excellence

Patna: St. Xavier’s College of Management and Technology, Patna, hosted its grand Annual Fest 2025, showcasing a spectacular blend of cultural flair and academic brilliance. The event, held at the Kalam Hall, was graced by Bihar’s Education Minister Mr. Sunil Kumar and Additional Chief Secretary of the Education Department Dr. S. Siddharth, along with college management, faculty, students, and parents.

The program commenced with the college anthem, followed by a mesmerizing prayer dance performed by the Xavier’s Dance Club. The highlight of the opening session was the multimedia presentation of the Annual Report 2024-2025, capturing the institution’s remarkable milestones and achievements over the year.

This year’s theme, “Marching Towards Innovation and Excellence,” was brought to life through a soulful musical performance by the Xavier’s Dhwani Club. Their melodious rendition filled the hall with an air of unity and creativity. The Xavier’s Theatre Club then staged an impactful play titled “Ek Naya Savera” (A New Dawn), written by Dr. Anurag Ambasth, Head of the English Department. The play artistically depicted the journey of innovation and the pursuit of excellence, leaving the audience spellbound.

Recognizing Student Achievements

The fest also honored students excelling in various domains. Awards and certificates were distributed to students for their outstanding performances in singing, dancing, acting, painting, and sports. Additionally, special accolades were given to those demonstrating leadership, creativity, and academic brilliance.

The most coveted “Student of the Year” award was presented to a student who displayed exceptional academic prowess, leadership skills, and unwavering commitment to the college’s values throughout the year.

Book Launches Highlight Intellectual Growth

The fest also witnessed the unveiling of two scholarly books. The first, “Moving Towards Green Economy”, edited by Dr. Niharika Kumari and Principal Fr. Dr. Martin Porras SJ, explores critical issues surrounding sustainable development and green economy. The second book, “Writers of the Indian Diaspora”, edited by Dr. Anurag Ambasth, highlights the literary contributions of Indian diaspora authors, offering valuable insights into their creative expressions.

Grand Finale Leaves a Lasting Impact

The event concluded with a vibrant Grand Finale, where students delivered a power-packed performance reflecting the fest’s theme. Their dynamic portrayal of cultural diversity and creative brilliance left the audience captivated.

In his closing address, Rector Fr. Joseph Sebastian SJ expressed heartfelt gratitude to the organizing committee, students, and faculty members for their dedication in making the event a resounding success. He encouraged the Xavier’s family to continue striving for excellence and innovation in every endeavor.

The Annual Fest 2025 not only celebrated the creative and intellectual spirit of Xavier’s but also reaffirmed its position as a leading center for academic innovation and cultural enrichment in Bihar, preparing students to excel on a global stage.
