Street Play and Workshop Promote Cleanliness Among Students in Patna

A cleanliness workshop along with a street play performance was organised at 11 a.m. on Monday at Middle School, Saidpur (Patna-4), aiming to spread awareness about hygiene and sanitation among school children.
The programme was conducted by Madhyam Foundation, Patna, where artists presented a street play titled “Khuchchad” under the direction of Bihar Kala Award-winning artist Dharmesh Mehta. Through this creative initiative, students were encouraged to maintain cleanliness in their surroundings and understand its importance in daily life.

The workshop highlighted the need for a clean environment and demonstrated where and how cleanliness should be maintained, both at personal and community levels. The performance effectively conveyed the message that hygiene is essential for a healthy lifestyle.
Artists from Madhyam Foundation, including Rakesh Kumar, Meena Devi, Chitra Priya, Md. Sadruddin, Sonal Kumari, Dr. Ravindra Kumar Chandra, Durgeshwar, Sanjay, Randhir Singh, Devendra Jha, and Aryan, participated in the programme. Students and teachers of the school also actively took part in the event.
The initiative was appreciated by the school community, emphasizing the role of such awareness programmes in educating children beyond the classroom.
