Simrahi (Bihar): In a vibrant confluence of festivity and intellect, S.R. Shiksha Samrat School in Simrahi Nagar Panchayat celebrated Diwali with an exuberant Rangoli Competition that transcended mere artistry to become a canvas of social consciousness and cultural pride. The event, suffused with color, creativity, and community spirit, brought together students, teachers, and management in an atmosphere of joy and reflection.

The courtyard of the school turned into a veritable gallery of imagination as students crafted intricate rangolis on themes of “Environmental Protection,” “Save the Earth,” “Sustainable Development,” and “Atmanirbhar Bharat.” Each design was more than an aesthetic statement—it was a philosophical gesture, articulating through pigment what words often fail to express. Particularly striking were the depictions against child labour and the poignant representation of “Social Media Addiction,” which evoked both admiration and introspection among onlookers.

The celebration resonated with the true spirit of Diwali—light triumphing over darkness, wisdom conquering ignorance. Chairman Mahadev Mehta, addressing the gathering, observed, “This sacred festival of lights is not merely a ritualistic celebration; it is an invocation to awaken the light within us and to dispel the shadows of negativity that cloud our humanity.”

Managing Director Alpana Mehta, in her address, extended heartfelt Diwali greetings to all, lauding the collective contribution of teachers, students, and parents in the school’s progress. She remarked, “The real essence of Diwali lies in illuminating minds through education. Knowledge is the purest light we can spread in society.”

Principal Kislay Ravi, too, extolled the students’ creativity, emphasizing that such competitions not only sustain India’s cultural traditions but also instill critical awareness of contemporary social issues. “Through colour and form, our students have reflected the conscience of a changing world,” he noted.

The event concluded amid applause and camaraderie as teachers were felicitated with gifts for their unwavering dedication. The celebration, organized under the meticulous coordination of Gaurav Kumar, Subanti Lama, Pappu Kumar, Sudhanshu Verma, Shiv Shankar Mehta, Suman Jha, Ramesh Mukhiya, and Shankar Kumar, stood as a testament to the school’s commitment to holistic education—where art, intellect, and values converge.

In the soft glow of earthen lamps and the vibrant hues of rangoli, S.R. Shiksha Samrat School not only celebrated a festival but rekindled the spirit of enlightened tradition—reminding everyone that true illumination begins within the mind.
