Youth of Khagaria Uphold Tradition of Service During Durga Visarjan

Khagaria, Bihar: A day after Vijayadashami, when devotees bid farewell to Goddess Durga with the immersion of idols, the streets of Khagaria came alive with both devotion and service. Along Mill Road, a group of spirited youths set an inspiring example by serving water, biscuits, and snacks to devotees accompanying the procession of the goddess’s idols.

Speaking about the initiative, youth volunteer Ankush Tekriwal said, “Service is the supreme duty. In this world, nothing is greater than the prayer of serving others.” His words reflected the spirit of compassion that marked the day.

Echoing the sentiment, Rahul Kumar Bhalotia, another resident of Mill Road, remarked, “Every year, we dedicate ourselves to serving the devotees of Maa Durga. This is our small contribution to the festival.”

The team expressed gratitude to all those who made the effort possible, including Akash Agarwal, Mithu Agarwal, Anurag Sultania, Abhishek Tekriwal, Vishal Goenka, Santosh kumar, Anil Agarwal,CA Ankit Tekriwal, and young member Tejas Tekriwal (Duggu), whose enthusiasm symbolized the next generation’s commitment to community service.

As the idols of Maa Durga made their way for immersion, the youth-led initiative turned the streets into not only a passage of devotion but also of humanity and brotherhood—ensuring that faith was celebrated with compassion.
