“Aakhri Kab Tak” Leaves Audience Stunned with a Stirring Call for Women’s Empowerment
Patna, Premchand Rangsala:
Premchand Rangsala turned into a mirror reflecting society’s darkest truths when Rainbow, a Rohtas-based theatre group, staged their powerful street play “Aakhri Kab Tak.” Written by Randhir Kumar and directed by Nisha Kumari, the production dared to confront the brutal realities of gender inequality, violence, and discrimination against women.
Through raw performances and unflinching dialogue, the play posed a piercing question: How long must women endure injustice and silence? The audience was not merely entertained but unsettled—forced to reflect on the continuing denial of dignity, security, and equal rights to half of society.

What set the performance apart was its emotional honesty. Scenes depicting harassment, domestic oppression, and sexual violence were portrayed with such intensity that viewers were visibly shaken. The production went beyond storytelling—it became a social interrogation, demanding accountability from both individuals and the system.
The ensemble cast, including Shreya Raj, Riya Kumari, Pankaj Kumar, Isha Kumari Soni, Jiya Kumari, Archana Kumari, Ambuj Kumari, Anisha Kumari, Vaishnavi Kumari, Komal Kumari, Shivam Kumar, Gaurav Kumar, Pallavi Kumari, Supriya Kumari, Manisha Soni, Sanjana, Prince Kumar, Bikesh Shah, and Ravi Kumar, delivered performances that made the message impossible to ignore.
As the final lines echoed through the auditorium, there was a lingering silence—broken only by the thunderous applause of a crowd left deeply shaken and deeply moved.
Rainbow’s “Aakhri Kab Tak” was not just theatre—it was resistance, reflection, and a reminder that a just and humane society cannot be built while women continue to fight for rights that should already be theirs.
